YouTube has declared it will test a beta variation of its new TikTok rival in India.
YouTube Shorts will restrict video clips to 15 seconds, and the system will feature creator applications that are similar to Chinese-owned TikTok’s.
India banned TikTok and 58 other Chinese applications in June as border tensions rose between the two countries.
At the time, India was TikTok’s major foreign market place, with an believed 120 million consumers.
